Click heremoments linger in the long hours of day
worry on the faces of pedestrians at a crosswalk
fuzzy lichen beneath a toilet seat soaking the joy
pavement bouncing over the intersection
drums of the ear
thumping like a dozen basketballs
there are hundreds of eyes that never meet
standing in dejected silence breathing fumes from a bus
all choreographed to steal Balanchine’s thunder
Thousands of people living in large cities never even exchanging glances ~ privacy protected.
Great closing line!
