A breath apart
An infinite space
I call for you
I cry for you
The name I can’t erase
My beautiful youthful soldier
Marching off to war
A place where I have been
Yet never been before
The soul that I am one with
Exquisite embrace
A dreaming painter’s love affair
Written in your face
Clasping of your hand
Within mine own
The safety of your skin
As if I’m coming home
And now that you are gone
Yet just a breath away
All that I can do
Is breathe in and out your name

Ever so...

A wife's sweet goodbye to her beautiful youthful soldier. The age old sorrow that never changes in intensity and sadness. Having been there this one rings my emotional bell.

Beautiful heartfelt rendering.

Poignant reading of a lover's breathing on her love's departure for the war.
