Click hereFate found us in the time of loves lost
Lost not to an end but to change
Nothing is constant but change...
Cannot know the future,
only learn from the past
Accumulated knowledge, insight,
Perhaps, maybe even wisdom
Worrying about today, praying for a future
learning that tomorrow is tomorrow's
While she retreats into her own place,
her own new mind
My tears mark her moving not from this life
but where she is going,
still here but not remembering me
To a hope of peace for her
a calm reserve,
maybe not of joy but of grace
Faith will guide us, patience educate us
love bring us understanding
... 'Nothing is constant but change'.
One of the most profound things any philosopher ever wrote. What more is there to say about life?
Shame that Hegel and Marx are so disregarded now.
to consider.
Ratio of concrete nouns to abstract. I think I saw a pronoun or two.
The mind works better if the senses are engaged, to use the standard poetic cliche, you are telling not showing.
Despite the fact I would toss this like, it bothers me.
love bring us understanding
The way it is worded, looks like it should be a complete sentence.

There are interesting and contradictory facets to this. Fate finds loves lost to change. Nothing is constant but change. So - it follows that love must always be lost to change? Fate fits into that..how? Fate's manifestation is in the first two stanzas. If fate, a Fate is still there in the third Stanza, it is much more subtle. The final stanzas are about how someone experiences the Fate of Love. Then the final stanza changes it again...to Faith. I think there is a lot to work with - and I may be over analyzing it, but I would tighten up the links between the stanzas.
