A Man's view

An older lady in pleasant sphere
problems more than you want to hear

but trust me now and hear my voice
her situation was not her choice

She's had troubles and still awaits
a Knight so grand at her soul's gates

She's been strong, and spirited
and she survives and is talented

A body and smile of a young woman's envy
She works she cleans... she loves family

She only seeks a love that can be
lasting and sharing and open to see

A man to trust responsibly... and love
for the years that remain before life above

She's special and doesn't need the hurt to see
and be with a man who's truly ugly.

choices

A refined goodlooking older woman who doesn't look her age ~ doesn't have to settle for an ugly man.

And at least it doesn't feel like it was twisted into pretzels to make everything fit;

Now let us all break out in song.

Where's the lyre?

This succession of couplets reads as if it is looking for a medieval troubadour.

I think it might raise a smile sung by Will Scarlet at a feast for Prince John.
