I stand before you
naked, vulnerable
my defenses torn down
my eyes gaze into yours
begging you to be gentle
closing my eyes,
sighing softly,
i step towards you
i gently take your wrists
to wrap your arms
around my waist
you gaze down at me
as i look back into your eyes
you pull me against you
i cry softly
because you tell me
it's all going to be alright
and for just that moment
i am safe,
i can believe you.
