If I see a rose I dare not pluck
it but perhaps a steady hand hold
for a moment in time with beauty
absorb it's scent forever which is
a mere glimmer of star dust, a
wink in the vastness, of eternity!

Juliet: "What's in a name? that which we call a rose

By any other name would smell as sweet;"

Brief

Roses fade but the scent can linger on in the memory ~ for eternity.

There it is

Another way of saying

Taking time to smell the roses.

I like your poem

it flows beautifully--and yes I agree with Tath; it feels gentle and wistful. :)

gentle

and wistful.

A very nice sentiment presented in a hushed whisper.

thank you
