The numbers keep climbing
when will it end
This fire destroyed
both family and friend.

Why does it happen
why couldn't something be done
To save all those people
from a horrible end?

It happened so fast
in the blink of an eye
Leaving a nation watching
leaving a nation to cry.

We'll pray and remember
all of those that died.
With all of the families
we'll each have cried.

God bless all these people
let their memories live on
Let us never forget them
long after they're gone.
