My heart did open and the love came in
with each little word that you would pen.
Though the words of poets are for all to see
your words always seem to speak to me.

I know they are not, but one likes to pretend
that they can inspire someone whose writings don't end.
To give someone a reason to share
to know your special and somebody cared.

That is what a poets words do
they make you think they were written for you.
Some words are written and sung
while other ones have sometimes stung.

Your words are not intended for me
but sometimes I'll read them and I'll let them be,
the ones that take me far away
the ones that make me melt and sway.

I wish I could me a group of lines
that make up a timeless story in rhymes.
To grace a paper and be touched by ink,
to form from his hands in less then a blink.

Oh how magical that feeling would be
if for only a moment his words were for me,
but as long as there's passion that he writes them with
perhaps for that moment, I'll live my great wish.

Living vicariously through the poems written by another poet. Transported to other worlds ~ of fantasy and longing.

Another anon

we have four 'Amazing poem' and one ..cliche critic (again?) I hope you know, Red...I for one enjoy your style of poetry. We all like different poems, I like and read yours because I relate to them. Perhaps, 'they' did not.

bows (~_~) humble....ART

don't quit you dayjob

Sorry kiddo, but I've heard better and less cheesy crap from high school kids. I don't know if it's bad because the style is forced, or your mastery of the language seems lacking, or just because you're unimaginative and so full of cliches. Either way, my personal advice would be to sit back and appreciate beauty, since you don't really seem to be able to create it.

Amazing

This is just simply awesome, lol. I think all your poems are- and I rarely see other such poets that are at this level- greatness. *grins* I know I've felt like this dozens of times myself reading a good poem like you speak of, wishing those words were for me, just pretending they were for a while and letting them carry me away. You wrote it beautifully. Reminds me of my own style, lol

Verse so inspired

can be so inspiring;

creating in poets

words sprung from

the soul's heart...
