Closing my eyes, I reach for you
no longer my heart feeling blue.
I heard you calling and so I came
my whispered lips spoke your name.

Rest in quiet slumber you may,
always know that I'll feel your day
with loving kisses and gentle smiles,
and no longer will your life go through trials.

I will always be here when you are low
and always know I'll help you grow,
into a nice and healthy child
one where love will never be mild.

So rest my little one and close your eyes,
for I'm around to hear all your cries.
I'll keep you safe in my loving embrace
so in the morning a smile will grace your face.

'tis ever so.

Back through time ~ in the far distant past ~ I see my mother's eyes full of love and comfort. A sweet evocative thought on New Year's Eve 2006.

So sweet,

sweetly loving and comforting;

is it a wonder then,

that men look for a Mother?
