A Scarlett Rose:
Chapter Two ~

'Confederate Kiss'

Scarlet red southern sky
in summer swelter of mid July
along a rose bed stone path walk
two lovers engrossed in tickle talk.

Honeysuckle sweet filled the air
magnolia flower tree's shade shared.
In plush green grass a flower pose
the blossoming of Miss Scarlett Rose.

A blanket spread of particular brush
batting eyes of a Rose's blush.
"I do declare, Sergeant, your stare!"
Scarlett Rose said with her southern flare.

"I haven't seen my sweet Scarlett..
in God only knows..."
His hand took her's
and he began his prose.

On a day of a picnic
where towns people didn't gather
on one knee was a Sergeant
Miss Scarlett was flattered.

"You keep avoiding my question."
Sergeant Sylvester said while trailing each finger
Shuffling without ease
sweaty palm toyed and linger.

Her eyes locked in look
and sweet southern smile,
"Yes I'll marry you,"
Miss Scarlett said, wide eye'd.

"When you retire from the confederate army."
Miss Scarlett proclaimed.
"Not that again,"
the Sergeant's sulked look framed.

She gave him a kiss that knocked him off his knees
rolled him in the grass under the Magnolia tree's.
Little light giggles mixed with sweet kisses.
Love blossomed for the Scarlett Misses.

"What if your off to war
and get your member shot off
or worse a leg,
how can I live with that?"

"It's my job," the Sergeant gripped.
Scarlett whisked away from his grasping charm.
"This is my home," Miss Scarlet moan
curling locks in sensuous swing she rolled.

The sergeant was firm
with a gripping hand.
Pulled Scarlett to the chest
of this un Gentle man.

"I do declare'
you have a rough-ian flare ... Sergeant."
Fire eye'd stare from lips that quiver
locking vision of four pools in passion.

"You intice me Miss Scarlett,"
Sergeants grip ... sliding ... gliding ... riding
the 'small' of the lady in red
like a genie's lamp feathered.

Lips taunted a taste
sweet Scarlett did brace
mouths messed in savor
tasting forever.

pressing ... passionately
tongues ... lashing
fingers ... grasping
lips ... pressing

Miss Scarlet took a breath
back lash of a reality attack.
"You Know ... I do declare Sergeant,
you can certainly take a girl's breath away"

Pressing against pulp wood
along the shady magnolia grove,
at a picnic a Lady was savored,
the sweet Miss Scarlett Rose~
