In dark of night I feel alone...
As I lay beside you, fast asleep...
You sleep so soundly breathing deep...
My soul feels cold, as to the bone...
We are as strangers in the night...
Sharing space, but fading fast...
Love, once strong, may not last...
I long to touch and hold you tight...
Is this the life that I shall lead?
In quiet repose, no lovely deed?
Nay, I shall rouse your sleeping soul...
And in the dark, I’ll take control...
I’ll hold you close, to me my love...
We’ll come together, hand in glove...
