How does a love so perfect
Seem to just change over night
The promise to love forever
No longer so clearly in sight

The feelings that were once expressed
Now not so clear at all
Not so certain it was the wisest choice
To let all of my barriers fall

Opening up my deepest soul
Allowing myself to feel
Allowing my self to truly need someone
And to believe that it was all real

Not so very long ago
This love was shared by two
And Love is still the truth for me
But now I'm not so sure for you

So here I sit and ponder
Which wall to put up first
Even though the love I feel
Still makes my heart want to burst

I'm holding on to faith
In the promises shared from the heart
When you told me this love is meant to last forever
Even when we are apart

They say faith is the thing that dreams are made of
And your love is a dream come true
So I guess I'll just take it one day at a time
Having faith in the love shared by me and you

Touching and well constructed. I lovely expression of wounded longing. Bravo
