My life has been so troubled
My time is in demand
My emotions overtook me
But you lead me by the hand

You've stood right beside me
Through tribulations and trial
Let me vent & yell & cry
But taught me how to smile

I've never known a heart so true
Never had a better friend
When I thought I could take no more
You lifted me again

I've cried until I laughed
I've laughed until I cried
You've shared with me your inner strength
Been right here by my side

You'll never know how much you mean
Because words alone just could not show
You've touched my heart, my very soul
I just wanted you to know

I liked it--

A real, honest to God poem that rhymes and everything. It even says something. A far cry above most that I have read here. Thank you.
