stop the screams
those cries of unmerciful death
end the lonely, cold nights
stop lying to me
don't make me believe you
give me ONE moment of peace
one time where my body
isn't thrown against a wall
or unloved and bruised
let me enjoy the simple things
cool sheets
not stained with tears
macaroni and cheese
without screaming obscenities at me
let me be
at least give my wounds time to heal
