or a sex machine
I don’t need the romance
or coffers full of green
I don’t need the story
though it’s fun to tell
I don’t need the magic
but you’ve got me under your spell
I don’t need a knight
in silver head to toe
I don’t need a mystery
wrapped up with a bow
I don’t need a wooer
with songs and poems of love
I don’t need a savior
sent from up above
All I need is a home cooked meal
a chest to lay my head
a hand to hold in good and bad
and snuggles in our bed
a teammate for playing games
a voice to sing along
a partner standing by my side
who makes me feel strong
All I need is compassion
and a little empathy
someone to share my joys
