All I want is
to hold your hand
in mine
and scrutinize,
admire the flawless design
of your fingerprints
and the way
your cuticles grow
around your nails
on your long fingers.

All I want is
your head on my breast
where I can play
in your soft hair and feel
each strand slipping
between the grooves
of my fingers
watch the curls
wind and rest
to hug my fingertips.

All I want is
your soft voice behind me
the tickle on my neck
your lips graze and nibble
in the dips and angles
examining every crease
of my skin
and your scent
wraps around me
like a warm cloak.

All I want is
to spend every waking and sleeping
moment curled around you,
your long hair caught up
in my bathtub drain
your clothes piled up
beside my bed
your face in repose
as I curl at your shoulder
we drift and rest.

All I want is
your laughter
singing in my ears
your smell
in my pillow
your eyes shining
the water pouring
around your neck
I can taste it as I kiss your chest
just below your heart.

Nicely woven tale of the physical and spiritual exploration of that thing we call love.
