I sit beneath the Nodding Tree
Wishing you'd sit down next to me
But such a blessing will never be
I've wakened from slumber only to see
Your tender hand was but a dream
And never the truth that it did seem
So I sit beneath the Nodding Tree
Hoping, of reality, soon to be free
And join you through the looking glass
Upon the windswept summer
Green of grass
