How times change
So that now
What once was a path
Is become a destination
The confirmation of your desire
As much a reward
As fantasy’s fulfillment
Might once have been

The thought that you
Might call out my name
Or bite down on your lip
In an effort to prevent it
Or just pretend
That your fingers are mine

The hope that the voice
You strain to hear is mine
Or that you see me in the dark
Just as I see you

I can certainly relate to your sentiment. Well done.

Brave writing...

Loved this B, simply, elegantly captured the essence of "almost enough" -- moved me. :) Thanks.

Yes, it's true

and it's a bittersweet, sweetlybitter truth when I think about it. Thanks, Bel. LJ.

I've

been there and felt that...My heart goes out to all that have an understanding that almost enough is never good enough...
