Ashesh9over 10 years agoPoems : it puts our resident Old Timer off but in spite of our many slugfests with him both Erectus & me have a sneakin' fondness for him ! We both suspect beneath his rough , gruff exterior hides a soft , sensitive heart ......
LesseloovesPeterover 10 years agoI'm not a writer anymore than yourself..,screw the rules, personally I don't give a damn, I write for myself and if people don't like it, I don't really care. I write from the heart as well, just whatever I'm feeling...IMO that's better than anesthetized, socialized, demoralized crap for the masses. Will I ever write a book? Unlikely. Do I get a kick out of reading my own writing? Absolutely. Do I care if no fancy pants with a MA in poetry ever appreciates my work? Not one bit. Well, shit, maybe a small part of me does, but...if writing becomes a chore, a requirement, it takes the fun out of it...and yeah, if you don't do it, you aren't going to be famous, make millions or whatever, but that's not why I write. I write for me. When I write for someone else I freeze up, I write crap. And if I ever became a "real" writer, that's all I'd ever do, write for other people, crap they want but I hate. So do screw em, write from your heart, write what sounds good, write what you like and ignore anyone who doesn't appreciate your aesthetic (unless of couse your pesonal goal is to become a paid author, in which case, ignore eveything I just said).-Lesse the non-conformist

I don't really know a thing about writing, so I just write from my heart and let my emotions flow. I wish I had time to take a class in how to write properly. I'm totally ignorant regarding the rules of writing poetry and stories...paragraphs, punctuation, etc.
Truly, it's a great honor when Literotica publishes my work, so I may get feedback from REAL authors (like yourself) and hopefully, polish my skills.
