Ana is not a friend of mine.
She taunts me all the time.
Worse than a bully in a school yard
She makes every day living so hard.

Flashing me images of perfection
Making me sick with her infection.
I long to break free
But she pushes and pulls me.

I can't let her win.
Though I long to be thin.
I must be strong and rise.
Help me plot ana's demise.

To be beautiful to death...

Be it an ulter ego or a real person who gets to symbolize all that is considered to be worthy of being or rather 'looking right'. My fear is that that Ana is unseparated from the voice of the narrator which gives a hint why the last line could be so scary.
