I stepped outside for a moment
And the scent of orange blossoms enveloped me
My pulse raced
My face flushed
I concentrated on remaining civilised
I needed to shed my clothes
And run naked in the cool night through the grove
The night ignited
The future bloomed
I renewed my love for Mother Earth
I saw with new eyes
And felt the passion of life rise and overflow
An owl hooted
A dog howled
I wanted to join their celebration
I yearned to break free
And the feeling is still with me
