Lady, Woman who wears my ring
displaying a vow to all...you made to just me
my woman, my little girl, my wife
by all these traits I see you

Princess, guardian of my heart
mother of my daughter, I was there...
by your side, as you gave birth to our child
moans and just one scream of pain
a new born babe, from inside you
laid in my arms...as I took pride
in both of you

Each day, as sure as the Sun
you rise and move our family
on a reluctant beginning, my coffee...her juice
three meet the morning, yawning becoming awake

Hard times we've shared
lived through by only the strength of a wedding band
fire to a metal, forges, strengthens it's bond
as you and I know

Lovely lady, queen of my nights
flesh to flesh we've lain
becoming as one many many times
in the bed of beds
you give me your all
your heart, your soul, your body
'tis nothing left...I could ask

Except ....still I do, I ask these things from you...
I want your smile to light my day, with your eyes shinning bright as stars in the night
I want your happiness filling my heart with it's warmth
I want your body each and every night,
hearing your sighs, feeling your glorious spasms
I want...sweet love
to hold your hand
as our hair turns gray
our end nearing
what I want, lady, is you
for the rest of my life

I will, my love
Die for you
with your name on my lips
always...
forever....
a vow...just one...made to you....
by the gods above...on what's left of my honor
I pledge to keep

You see, woman...child...lady
it took you, just little ol' you
to make me a man
giving me the need
to be daily, better then the man I was
a day before
and now, with my daughter
It's you two I serve
with duty, with honor, with heart, with love

I can't convey all I feel for you
with mere words...
Sunrises, sunsets, stars between
flowers, leaves....orange or green
waves lapping upon a shore, a bird in flight
nothing...not one of these
compares to the beauty of you
I love you Laureen,
Thank you for my beautiful daughter

Heartfelt thoughts.

A husband's special tribute to a loving wife and a nod to the happiness of having been given a beautiful daughter. A lovely rendering. One can almost feel the happiness exuding from this offering.

A Mother's Day devotional to a wife;

How long did it take her to read this

And how many times did she have to dry her eyes?

A Fine Gift for Mother's Day

Quite different from a lot of the poet's other work,

this Mother's Day tribute shows a soft side to the wolf,

but I think he gains strength from it and displays more talent than he often shows.

This time SavageWolf writes what he "really" knows and feels,

and it is good.

There are many fine poetic phrases in this piece.

The first to strongly catch my eye was:

"Each day, as sure as the Sun

you rise and move our family

on a reluctant beginning,"

Thank you for sharing this.

Please write some more.

well now

The secret to a happy marriage is to make your wife feel like a goddess. This poem shows you are wise.

Beautiful

I wish my husband could write something like that to me. Very beautiful and sincere. I felt like I was looking in a window at your life with your wife. Great job,
