Click hereAnother butter colored morning bloom
as twighlight melts the night
over an ocean's lingering tail
a reflective waterway's colorful trail
woven through an entwined forest
of rolling hills, oaks and tall timbered pines.
Silence slightly flutter
when wings wave in a brisk wind,
waterfowl dive into the dawn
over cattails, mere shadow strings
along a thirsty lapping shoreline
the current's tempo adrift in time.
An aimless breeze casts blossoms to sail,
afloat in the river they'll pass away
and for those still flowering,
darkness is illuminated by the blue
when the sun begins to shine.
the switch to my blue gliding strut...\ meld the world into glass...as picture perfect...blue
to get up early so I can watch the sun rise-and see the blossoms fall...
I love your picturesque style which makes me feel and see the colors and emotions in the poem- you bring life to the words.
I haven't read much lately so I'm glad Ang. mentioned this poem today. I can't remember any thing you've done that flows as well as this beauty. A message and visual worth reading.
Very picturesque imagery here, Art. Can just see flowers cast off from trees and plants floating on down the river to the ocean in the calm morning air. Just one little detail ~ set this one in permanent ink ~ it's twilight.
