It's the kindness you show every day,
Your encouraging words for all.
Your acceptance of my imperfections,
Yes, another brick falls.
It's how you lovingly cherish me,
It's how you always call.
To tuck me in and keep the dreams at bay,
Yes, another brick falls.
It's your steady breathing as you sleep,
It's time standing still when my name you call.
It's the peace I feel when I lie in your arms,
Yes, another brick falls.
Your gaze, your touch, your soothing voice,
Compassion, sensuality, emotions caused.
It's all these nameless, little things,
That allow the bricks around my heart to fall.
