The holidays end but once a year
So sit back and enjoy the anti-cheer.

Bitchy aunt Edna is back to LA,
And creepy cousin Steve is out of the way.

The decorations are off the walls and back in the bin
So now, finally, the house looks normal again.

And now its over, thank heavens and earth.
Time to wonder which grew more: your debt or girth?

Glad I'm not the only Grinch around.

The poem made even me smile.

Hilarious! I have an aunty Edna a bit like that. I am sorry to see that you have gotten no comments. This is a really good poem with a good choice of a complementary form.
