Antidote

All within
Vast expanse unbroken
Of stillness
Even thought threatens
To come to a standstill
Deafening silence
Muting the heartbeat
Hands not knowing what to do
With themselves
In the agony of being alone
Veins writhing
--Blue

Then a bright joyous flash
Dances across the eyes
A number dialled ~ a voice heard
Warm.. vibrant, with life itself infectious
And the cold, still, deathly blue
As if never was

Anticipation realized.

The thrill you feel when you get a phone call from that certain Someone.

The Touch of the Voice

Indeed the sound of the right voice, pouring directly into your ear can soothe the ice from your veins, and even more set fire to your senses. What relief!
