Am I worth it?
You tell me that I am, boy
And at the first test
You're gone

Six months we've done it
We've made this work
Despite age and distance
We've built each other's strength

I'm sorry for the things I've said
Sorry for my immortal words
Which screech like swords
I have cut you deeply, I know

But you've stung me too
Drawn blood from the stone
How is it that two who can't feel
Can damage each other so?

It only hurts because we let it
And we let it because we care
We could both walk away
End it all, the good and the bad

But to do so would be a crime
For together we have conquered
Not battles on the fields
But the wars within ourselves

You are precious, boy
You're worth my time
Can you say the same about me?
Is the little I can give enough?

I am selfish, I know
But I need you
Do you need me too?
Is what I give enough to keep you?

If it isn't
I bid you reluctant farewell
But if it is
I pray you tell me

Is what we have worth saving?
It will be difficult, I know
But again I ask, think hard
Am I worth it?

Are we?
