When you look at me,
Do you see everything,
You wanted me to be,
Or am I another disappointment,
In a lifetime’s worth,

You always made out,
Like you had it so much harder,
Well at least harder than me,
You never realised what you,
Were doing to me until it was to late,

You’ve wrecked me,
I never wanted to be like this,
I didn’t want to feel sorry for myself,
I was fine until you came along,
I really was, okay so maybe I wasn’t perfect,
But seriously who needs perfection?

I know you don’t understand me,
But you know I don’t need to be understood,
All I ever wanted was acceptance,
But it was just one of those things,
You weren’t willing to give me,

I can’t say I blame you,
You see I never said I was okay,
With all the things you’d done,
Before you met me,

So when you look at me,
Are you proud of me?
Or am I just your latest disappointment?

very much so

have read several of your stories...yes, if i were your parent i would be very proud of you. however, as your poetry is non-erotic, why have you chosen to post here....is it because you just enjoy reading?
