LEMONIA (F)LEAP EDELTRAUD => THROUGH NEED AND DECENCY=> APPROPRIATIONS: SONG FOR MONTSE

HILLSIDE
MONDAY MORNING (01:10)
4/8/2014

ART COUNCIL'S PRIORITIES

In Whiteleys building,
Queens Way,
there used to be a statue,
towards the centre.
A male and a female centaur,
kissing each other.

A sculptor's wishful thinking?
Or was he unaware,
poor bastard,
that female centaurs
are only an invention
of later antiquity?

Respect for male loneliness
is lacking,
correction in realism
is due,
getting rid of that statue,
a priority
for the Arts Council.
