(author's note: I wrote this some five years ago while attending Southern Oregon University)

This body is my temple
This mind is my abode-
This spirit is the art-rain
over which I roam

This classroom is Trafalgar
This courtroom's Calvary
This protest is the Amistad-
We're dubiously free

This canvas is the ocean
This denim is the sea-
This pen's a thrashing Mermaid
This coffee's really tea

This basement is an opera
This click-click's the aria-
This phantom is the REM,
The Ariam I need!

This racquetball's a sandpainting
This bouncing's just for me-
This fruit it comes from India
from India B.C.

This inky lance is Easy Grip
This office chair's a steed-
This teddy bear's a lock of hair
For kindly sluts I ride

This ballot is an atom
This magazine's a king
This boom-box is an artifact,
a relic though to me

This microwave has absinthe stains
This boy wants to abstain-
This Penn cylinder's a wishing well
I wished it squeaky clean

This heart is an Excalibur
This mind more than I need-
This dream is a reality
!!This reality is me!!

I rather enjoyed reading this although at first when I saw how it was written I didn't think I would. I stumbled over a few of the rhymes which slowed down the flow which is a pity
