Just like Elaine Martin
Does not caress open fields
the way Pollock makes love
to an innocent canvas even when
it looks a lot like blood
Scratches and mud
Were Russia (or Prussia) incoherent
states of minds more than states
Overflowing to rivers of blood?
They did not appreciate much art
They liked chopping trees, not minding
Some flying chips (that could be you,
A shaved chip)...
Now, now,
Take in a deep breath in,
And pick at Nevelson showing
Her sweetest tropical tree
All wielded metal, (you're safe)
Forgot your poetry at home?
Rickey will get your head
Nice and woozy for a while
Especially if the wind is
Still blowing on the tree,
Much easier to breath now.
If you think there has been any time or age without production of or appreciation for art in Russia, you are quite ignorant. Sigmund Freud said something to the extend that ignorance is no argument. Couldn't agree more.

From usingenglish.com.
"Poetry is language where rhythm is an essential part of the communicative act, where words are used in a way similar to music to create an effect on the reader or listener. Language which does not use rhythm and other effects in this way is called prose."
I've read a number of your "poems." I ask, where is the rhythm, or the rhyme? Simply chopping off the lines, doesn't make it poetry. I suggest you do a Google search on "Rudyard Kipling" or "Walt Whitman" and see what poetry is supposed to look like.
Also, poetry should have some kind of story to go with the words. It is, after all, supposed to move people.
Not intending to be cruel here, I just expected something more like poetry from a poet. At best, your work could be call prose, although I think that prose should have a story as well.
This is an extraordinary piece, absolutely rich and complex but not self-conscious. Your use of sound is good and your imagery is solid and meaningful. I'm impressed.
