As I lay dying
The world faded to black around me

All I could see was your smile
Beaming down on me

All I could hear was the sound
Of my child’s first laugh
Of her first word

As I lay dying
The world faded to black around me

I saw my life pass before my eyes
All the good that I had done
All the missed opportunities
All that things I wish I could have changed

As I lay dying
The world faded to black around me

I felt your strong arms around me
The arms that held me in love and in pain

All I could smell was the sweet scent
Of your cologne, bringing to life my memories of us

As I lay dying
The world faded to black around me

All I could taste was the first fresh flakes of snow
From our first snowball fight

As I lay dying
The world faded to black around me

And as I drew in my last breath
Your face was imprinted on my mind
And my last words
Echoed on the wind

I love you
I love you
I love you
