Tear-stricken I would feel at many a time
That I often wonder if I have committed a crime
To have me feel what I feel this day
Or is it because she'll never drift my way

Right now I don't care if I live or die
As long as no-one ever sees me cry
And have them ask what's the matter friend
Where I only wonder when the pain will end

But no matter how hard I seem to try
There remains a fact I cannot deny
That pain at times is what keeps me going
At half the time, hardly, if ever knowing

Pain can be a great teacher, and the later absence of will bring much joy. True love understands that space can give perspective, and what are we without perspective but little more than lemmings or ants, perhaps. Following and creating patterns, patterns we cannot see.
