I remember the moon's reflection
glittering from off the bay
reflections buried in my mind
to this very day.
Of long walks, warm talks
and wagging puppy tails
sunny days and cresting waves
and the many colored sails.
So full of child like innocence
a home so full of love
guarded by the spirits of good
from somewhere up above.
I think I was, maybe twelve or so
a visit from my Aunt Jen
drove my mother up the wall
her hatred of all the men.
But in my eyes Aunt Jen was cool
the way she talked and dressed
I guess my brother liked her to
for sure he liked her breast.
One day, I'm not sure why
secluded by the bay
aunty had a brand new game
she showed me how to play
We played her game everyday
I knew that it was wrong
but aunty always apologized
I continued going along
One day it was finally over
aunty Jen had moved away
I remember feeling no relief
the guilt was there to stay.
Long walks, puppy dog tails
sunny days and friends
even with Aunt Jen away
my psychic didn't mend.
My mother, my brother, no one knew
Aunt Jen, her devious ways
Thanks Aunt Jen for a mind now warped
because of the games we played.
