Autumn

The trees

The leaves

Beautifully, bold, and buoyant

Whoosh, swoosh, rustle

Go the auburn leaves

As the crisp autumn air whispers

Its melancholy story of creation and life

The leaves are as bright as gold

They make you never want to scold

The moon, an eye of someone

Looking upon our trees of magma

Flowing forever among us
