Bare, Autumn sleeps,
At the foot of the Oak,
Her chestnut tresses abound;

Embroidered with leaves,
Scarlet and gold,
Her locks blanket the ground;

She keeps them nestled,
In her soft, earthen womb,
Acorns -- warm, sound.

A Joy

This is a treat to read, invoking earthen scents and new life waiting to begin.
