Now the light of the day dawns.....

Over yonder horizon...

Purple streaks mixed in with pink...

Quickens the approach of the sun

Rays filter through the clouds reaching for the day

Sunlight peeks it's morning eye

Tantalizing us in every way

Unconscionably the day dawns brighter

Virile in it's grasp

Wholeheartedly embarking

Xcitedly at last

Yellow fingers of the morning

Zig and Zag across the sky

All the birds have started singing

Bloating the morning with their cries

Coffee starts perking

Down this lane and that

Everyone is rising

From their nightime habitat

Gasping at cold showers

Hurrying to and fro

It's a never ending battle

Jostling our lives so off to work we can go

Keep me here a little longer

Let me savor the start of this day

Morning glory all around me

Now in this moment let me stay
