Awakenings

Nightfall lit by luminous eyes
her breath the sound of fire
A whisper unlike wind or voice
My brain sears within her rapture
My thoughts aglow with her essence
Enlightened I seek her out
My hands grope the darkness
A heartbeat drums in the void
My soul sings notes borne of her laugh
My mind is awhirl within her spirit
Straining, grasping, yearning
I look deeper for the light
Realization grips Me
The light is fire
The fire is O/our souls
Burning as O/one, entwined eternal
