I remember them laughing at me
I remember everyone in the gym during lunch laughing at me
I remember the poor girl trying to explain
He was one of the elite
Social elite heirarchy of the school gods
Me, I was a peasant called over
There they sat all the beautiful people
There they gathered talking
I was foolish and walked right into it
It was a joke
It was a gag
It hurt and left me bleeding inside
"Hey, he likes you"
Laughter heard all around
Laughing at me
Walking away
Slinking away
Wanting to crawl under my rock
I have long since forgave
I have never forgotten
Kids are cruel and yet its all a joke, a jest of childhood
Laughing
