The saddle creaks a familiar sigh
As I climb back in for the ride
The scent of leather
I've been here before
As I adjust the stirrups
And glance toward the door
With a soft sigh and a smile
I tip my hat,
Grinning like a child
Life's like that
Changes will come
But that comfortable place
Is like a warm sun
Picking up my pencil and pen
Look out world... I'm coming again.

~~

Break out that pencil and give yourself a tip of the hat.

When you fall off the horse. . .

You have to get right back on,

and life is the same way.

The writer creates a good image,

and is following his own insight,

However, this work reads more prosey than poetic.

Sharpen that pencil and keep writing.

A great surge of confidence. Optimism rocks. :)
