Dewy spider’s web
A trap for the unaware,
Errant green butterflies
Somehow take detours.
Bird’s ancient call
Only disturbs prey.

Rolling mists clear
As sun rises with the noise.
Eager life devours itself.
A gaping maw dripping with
The saliva of ages.

A stream renews and removes.
A tide of effortless perfection,
Selfish idealism at its best.

One more tree falls under its own weight.
Balance restored,
Future assured.
