She runs her fingers through my hair,
Stroking each
Strand
That has fallen gently to the side.

As we lie on the bed,
Our nude bodies
In close proximity,
My heart beating in
Rhythm
With hers,
I wonder
What would it be like
If she wasn't here with me.

Would I be alone
Tonight?
Would I be sleeping
Alone?
Would my life still be filled with
Tender
Moments?

As we gently,
Wonderfully
Make love on top
Of the bed

All thoughts banish themselves
Back into the depths
Of my
Soul.
