Japanese term meaning techniques for drawing a sword.
—Wikipedia
Some little motion, like a stick
swayed by heavy wind,
is how my involuntary parts
wave at you, walking by.
Darwin, even with his mousy wife,
knew why
that without trying, fully clothed,
you squeeze that steady ache
low in my body.
I know it's just biology—
that your eyes and hands, that slight flush
of your blabbermouth skin
signals everything, how
yes your protests will crumble, how
yes you need me above.
But I am flesh, not a sword.
I cannot slice you,
though hard as the folded, folded metal
of a katana I may be:
tempered steel that has been beaten
just for you many times.
