Click hereI see you from across the way, hair tossed without a care
Jeans stained with dirt gone deep within the threads
Sleeves torn from a once-upon-a-time Tee.
Eyes glued to the book within your strong hands.
Studying, examining, carefully analyzing.
How sweet it'd be to have you look at me
In such a thorough way.
It's hard to tear myself away from such a sight,
But when your dark eyes glance in my direction
I have to look away, shyness gets the better of me.
It starts to rain, all are fleeing for a dry retreat.
Closing my eyes, I feel the power of the coming storm
Yet here I remain with rain soaking through my clothes
Looking down to gather my books, worn boots appear.
A familiar hand is held out gently, just for me.
Gazing from your boots to your ebony eyes, I'm struck
when my hand falls perfectly into yours, just as the thunder begins.
"No one should be left out in the rain." words travel through wet lips.
With a smile as brilliant as lightning flashing through the clouds above.
You help me to my feet and I am simply following, entranced by you.
A look over your shoulder is a warning to leave while I can
But you won't see me turning from the darkness in your eyes
Not when I have the chance to swim within them
For however long this happening lasts between you and I.
Around a corner and a with sudden surge of power,
I am up against the wall, cool against my warm skin
Growing hot with the primal kiss pressed against my lips.
With the gale winds blowing by, our burning clothes disperse
I feel you're stronger than the storm as I'm lifted and slammed
Into by the force of the strongest winds, tearing a scream from inside.
The hammering of rain drowns the sounds of our bodies colliding
Over and over like the crashing of waves against a cliff.
A cliff we're rapidly climbing together, as one.
Strikes of lightning try to fear us away from our hot surrender
But we are unaware of anything that may ruin our ascendance
To the peak of the fall, this is where only you and I can tread.
One last strike of lightning, downpour of rain, gust of wind
And we're falling into waves and waves of pleasure
Which sends us slowly sinking to the tranquil bottom of the sea.
Looking into two reflective pools of black staring at me
I see myself, a beautiful chaos that only this storm can bring.
