being a baby of arms, words, rose wallpaper
the scents of salt and a mind in flight
climaxing quiet childhood within walls
tissue paper thin rules followed faultlessly
crying words shrugging off a face
no scar deep enough to wound water
center wobbling surface to surface
soul of the sick and weary eye
child of a saline playschool

if i could cry
weep i would
great cold tears
on my tongue the difference
between release and relief
