It’s daybreak now, beside me lies my love
Asleep, a sleep well earned for now we rest
After our sharing, sharing rich with joy,
With love, and passion strong enough to test

The bed, almost, and yet as soft and sweet
As angel kisses, nectar of your lips.
Those lips, which kissing mine, have caused a light
To fill my soul. Ah, my sweet love, your hips

Beneath me waited, then, to take my thrust.
You lay spreadeagled, ready for the sting
Of love. Akin to lust, the passion you
Instil is tempered by the fires of spring,

Softened by summer warmth, by fall’s rich grace,
In passion shared, our love commingled yet
So warm, so soft, so sweet, your kisses reach
My soul, and soften that sharp stab, that let

Me pierce your body with the sword of love
That weapon, mighty then, so fallen now
Waits patiently for you to wake, and then
We’ll love again, and endless love avow.

Mmmm! Did I Read this Before....It Already Has a Score!

I wonder if I gave this a "3" in error or read it earlier and wasn't as enthralled by poetry as much as stories. I don't know. Usually I will give a top score because I thank the effort of the author, thank him (her) for bringing me such entertainment. But here, I'm sorry that did not happen, and I don't know why. Sorry. I still prefer the stories, but I will read all the poetry before I move on to the last available story written in Sept. 2011.
