"It's a grand old flag"
and it makes a great bikini;
fully armed and ready
to protect from every meanie.
I know that it's all photoshopped,
the image is a fake,
and no real cognoscenti
would its seriousness take.
Yet the image is a vision
haunting beyond my control:
the great arousing picture
of Hotness on Patrol.
(No offense intended in this little wit,
nor endorsement of overly martial grit.)

WickedEveover 15 years agoI like these lines: and no real cognoscenti - of Hotness on Patrol. I didn't think you could put a link in your poem, especially to another site. But glad you were able to present the photo with the poem, even though I'm sick of the sight of Palin. lol
