Rain softly falling
A warm cascade of tears
Drenching my soul
With bitter fears.

Time ticks on
I wait for you
The dark wind whispering
What my heart knew was true.

You were never going to come
All your promises were lies
My fragile world fractures
My love slowly dies.

I crawl to the edge
Stare into the abyss
The memory of your touch
The taste of your kiss.

None of it matters
Our love is dead
It was never real
Only in my head.

Your Heart

You have opened your heart so much that all I can do is hold you to me.

Underestimation.

When affections become cloudy ~ sometimes love never has a chance to bloom.
