Blood Moon

The blood moon hangs high in the sky
Dripping rubies upon the ebony night
A crimson kiss of death upon my lips
Sealing my fate, ending my fight

Foggy silence enshrouds my soul
Black flames construct a cage around me
The flames stretch higher, burning out the stars
Daylight is now but a forgotten memory

My veins pulse with dark melodies
Possessed recollections consume my poisoned life
I savor the exquisite pain
As I throw myself upon mercy's knife

Caressed in the colors of blushing wines
I step into my eternal abyss
My liquid life pools around my breathless form
The scarlet glow is my last taste of earthly bliss
