Just within reach but never in hand.
Eyes closed,
Lips parted.
Waiting for
Words unspoken.
Thirst, unquenched.
Hunger, unfed.
No release.
No reprieve.
No backward glances.
Trapped in suspended anticipation.
You left me,
Bound.
